Recent Accomplishments

• Development of fiber-optic pressure transducer technology, now commercialized.
• Development of parametric emissions monitoring systems for stack emissions.
• Development of portable gas compressor flow measurement device.
• Noise control guidelines for compressor station equipment.
• Sponsorship and development of large-bore engine test bed at Colorado State University.
• Completed a study characterizing the performance of 2-stroke compressor engines, demonstrating operating limits on emissions and efficiency for use in educating regulators about the capabilities of existing infrastructure.
• Developed high pressure fuel injection for 2-stroke engines that reduces emissions and improves efficiency.
• Demonstrated the emissions characteristics on high speed, separable, 4-stroke engines for use in educating regulators about the capabilities of new compressor engines.
• Developed electronically enhanced engine control that has become the first step in NOx reduction.
• Developed sensors to implement PEMS emissions and compressor performance monitoring, and engine balancing systems.
