Announces He is Stepping Down as President of the Company
that Bears His Name
Dr. John
F. Kiefner has announced that, effective December 1, 2002,
he is stepping down as President of Kiefner & Associates,
Inc., the firm he began nearly 13 years ago. In noting that
“it is time for me to begin to pass the ownership and
leadership of the company to my associates”, Dr. Kiefner
also announced that he will remain with the company for several
more years in the capacity of Principal Advisor. Mike Rosenfeld,
who has been with the company for more than 11 years, will
replace Dr. Kiefner as President.
Beginning
with his tenure at Battelle Memorial Institute, Dr. Kiefner
has established a well-earned, world-wide reputation as one
of the leading scientists doing critical metallurgical and
related research for a wide variety of clients including,
over the past 25 years, PRCI. His outstanding contributions
to improved materials performance, pipeline repair, and defect
assessment, including the assessment of the remaining strength
of corroded pipe, are fundamental to the integrity of pipeline
systems around the world. He has also conducted critical research
in the use of hydrostatic testing and in-line inspection for
determining the integrity of new and in-service pipelines.
In September of this year, at its 50th Anniversary Meeting,
PRCI was proud to award Dr. Kiefner its Distinguished Researcher
Award, in recognition of his outstanding leadership in pipeline
technology development.
PRCI is
proud of its association with Dr. Kiefner, and looks forward
to continuing its relationship with a true international research
asset. We send him every good wish for success in his new
role.
